 Training Chart

As previously mentioned, we are training to run the Dead Sea marathon, which is scheduled for Friday, April 8th, 2011.  Here is our training chart (based on the first time marathoner’s chart in The Competitive Runner’s Handbook), counting down all 27 weeks until the big day.  Check in often to see if we are on track, and remember that well-wishes and prayers for safety and health are appreciated!

Week = how many weeks left of training
Day = running up to six days, with Saturday night as possible make-up time
Total = the accumulated mileage for the week
Number in black = target mileage for the day/week
Number in blue = Darren’s actual mileage for the day/week
Number in red = Amber’s actual mileage for the day/week

Along with tracking our mileage, we also decided to track a few key measurements to give us an idea of how our bodies are changing during training.  At the beginning of each month, we will take new measurements and compare them to the original data.  Numbers will be shown as +/- baseline, with baseline = 0.
